About Us

The Veterans Motorcycle Club is comprised of former and current servicemen of the Australian Defence Force.  We swore an oath of allegiance to defend our nation and preserve the rights and freedom that all Australians currently enjoy.

Many factors such as experiences in country, or acceptance by Australian society post deployment, have left Veterans feeling lost and adrift in mainstream Australia.  PTSD is currently taking a greater toll of lives then the enemy in recent conflicts. Many Veterans have found vital life saving support and mateship in clubs comprised of likeminded brothers in arms.

In late 1989 an advertisement was placed in a Melbourne newspaper seeking Vietnam Veterans interested in starting a motorcycle club.  There was a strong response and, so, at the Broadford Hotel, the Victorian Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club was born.  Shortly thereafter other Vietnam Veterans across Australia started forming chapters.

In April 1992 the Vietnam Veterans South Australian Chapter was established.  In September 2008 the second South Australian Chapter, the Mid North SA Chapter was raised.  In 2010, both South Australian Chapters proposed a change to Veterans MC to fully recognise ADF veterans from more recent conflicts.
In 2013 we became the Mid North SA Chapter of the Veterans Motorcycle Club.  We are now able to offer full membership and support to all local South Australian military veterans meeting our membership criteria.

The Mid-North SA Chapter is based in Bibaringa, just outside of Gawler.  We are only a short country ride away from the City, Adelaide Hills, Northern Suburbs, Barossa and towns to the North.  Directions can be found by using the map on the Contact Us page.  If you would like to know more about our chapter please email us or lookup our Facebook Page.
